Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about scheduling appliance repair with Omnia HST.

General

What services does Omnia HST provide?

We repair, install, and service home appliances - washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, and dishwashers. Chris leads the team, our technicians do the work, and you get a straight answer on every call.

What types of appliances do you repair?

Washers and dryers, refrigerators and freezers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, and dishwashers. Top-load or front-load, gas or electric, older or new - if it runs your kitchen or laundry room, we work on it.

Do you work on all major appliance brands?

Yes. Our team works on the major brands you actually have at home - Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG, KitchenAid, Amana, Speed Queen, Kenmore, and more.

Do you offer appliance installation services?

Yes. We install appliances and make sure they are set up and running right, not just bolted in. If something is not draining, venting, or leveling the way it should, we handle it before we leave.

Do you offer emergency appliance repair?

When something like a refrigerator quits, we know it cannot wait. Call us and tell us it is urgent, and we will do what we can to get a technician out fast.

Are your technicians experienced?

Yes. Chris has 20-plus years in the trade and built the Omnia team around trained, hands-on technicians who fix it right the first time and explain what they did.

Do you carry common appliance parts?

We keep the most common parts on the truck - belts, pumps, valves, igniters, heating elements, thermostats, control boards, and door seals - so a lot of repairs are finished in a single visit.

How long does a typical repair take?

Many repairs are done in one visit, often inside an hour once we have the cause. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you that up front and get you back on the schedule as soon as it is in.

Do you service residential appliances only?

We focus on home appliances, the kitchen and laundry units families depend on every day. If you have a light commercial unit, call and ask and we will tell you if it is something we handle.

Do you offer repair warranties?

Yes. We stand behind our work, and we will go over what is covered on your specific repair so you know exactly where you stand.

Should I repair or replace my appliance?

Sometimes repair makes sense and sometimes it does not. We look at the age, the condition, the cost of the part, and what a replacement would run before you put money into the wrong thing - then we tell you straight.

Do you work on older appliances?

Yes. A lot of older appliances are worth keeping, and we will tell you honestly when one is. If a part is still out there, we can usually track it down.

Can you fix appliances that are not cooling or heating properly?

That is most of what we do. A fridge that will not cool, a dryer that will not heat, an oven that runs cold - our team checks the real cause before any parts get replaced.

How can I contact Omnia HST for service?

Call either of our numbers or send the contact form and tell us what is going on with the appliance. We will get you scheduled and moving.

Why is my dryer running but not heating?

Usually it is a failed heating element, a blown thermal fuse, a bad thermostat, or airflow choked down by a packed vent. Our team checks the heat circuit and the airflow before replacing anything. Call Omnia and we will get it sorted.

Why is my refrigerator not cooling?

A fridge that quits cooling is often a condenser or evaporator fan, a defrost problem, a dirty coil, or a control or compressor issue. We check the cooling system and the door seals before any parts go in. Call early, because a warming fridge does not wait.

Why is my washer not draining?

A washer that will not drain is usually a clogged drain pump or filter, a kinked or blocked hose, or a worn pump. We find which it is before swapping parts. Call Omnia and we will get the water moving again.

Scheduling

Do you provide same day appliance repair?

Sometimes, yes. It depends on the day, where you are, and what the appliance is doing. Call early and we will tell you what the schedule really looks like - same-day or next-day when it is available.

How do I schedule a service call?

Call us or send the contact form and tell us what the appliance is doing. We will get you on the schedule and give you a real time window, not a vague all-day wait.

Do you offer weekend appointments?

Sometimes, depending on the schedule and where you are. Call and ask, and we will tell you what is realistic instead of promising something we cannot hit.

Are appointments scheduled in time windows?

Yes. We give you a real time window so you are not stuck waiting around all day, and we reach out if anything changes.

Service Area

What areas do you service?

We cover southern Tennessee and North Alabama from our base in Huntland - Huntsville, Madison, Decatur, Athens, Fayetteville, Winchester, the lake towns, and the communities in between. If you are near the state line, give us a call.

Pricing

Do you charge a diagnostic fee?

Yes. There is a diagnostic fee so a trained technician can come out, find the real cause, and tell you exactly what the repair takes before any money goes into parts.

Is the diagnostic fee applied to the repair?

In most cases, yes. When you move forward with the repair, the diagnostic is rolled into the job. We go over it with you up front so there are no surprises.

What payment methods do you accept?

We keep payment simple. Ask when you schedule and we will tell you exactly what we take, so it is sorted before the technician arrives.

Do you provide written estimates?

Yes. Once we have the diagnosis, you get the repair and the cost up front, in plain terms, before we do the work.

Maintenance

Do you provide maintenance services?

Yes. A little upkeep keeps appliances running longer - cleaning coils, checking vents and seals, catching small problems before they turn into expensive ones. Ask us while we are out.

Preparation

What should I do before the technician arrives?

Clear a little space around the appliance and have a quick description of what it is doing - the noise, the leak, the error code, when it started. The more you can tell us, the faster we get to the cause.
